Helsing Junction Sleepover 2011

I stage managed for the first time last year on the first night of the Helsing Junction Sleepover! I missed my chance at a free Weezer ticket (two free Weezer ticket offers, actually! :( ), but I still had a pretty great summer night. Since it's getting close to this year's event, we're trying to get everyone excited. My repost from the K Weblog is below . . .

Since Helsing Junction is just around the corner (August 24-26th!), what better time to post photos and videos from day one of last year?! We can’t wait, so let’s revisit a little bit of the fun that we had last time . . .

Gary May started our little festival off, like he does every year, and even threw in a Beat Happening cover (if I do remember correctly! Tell me if I’m wrong here!).

Bob took care of all of the sound needs for the night, and was awesome, as usual. He also happens to be the the studio manager at Dub Narcotic Studio! We're so lucky to have him!

Jeffrey Jerusalem got people dancing . . .

And then the Pine Hill Haints played next to the shed, while Calvin did some dancing!

SAFE played next, joined by Jeffrey Jerusalem again. So good!

And towards the end, Tender Forever played, and was amazing, as always. See for yourself!

Of course, there was more music and a wild dance party that evening, but unfortunately, I don't have any more photographic proof! The rest of the weekend was super great as well, and ended with The Hive Dwellers playing under the willow tree. Magic!

Tickets can be purchased for this year right here, and more information can be found here. Woohoo!

Love,
Sarah
