seven falls near manitou springs, colorado

Our final stop of the day was to Seven Falls.  For one week out of the year, they light up the canyon with christmas lights and decorations, and backlight the giant waterfall with color-changing lights.  Joel's dad was really into it, and stopped a lot to tell me to take picture of this or that.  After parking, you can either walk right up to the bottom of the waterfall (and only see the bottom!), or take an elevator to the top to see the entire thing.  

It was really pretty, but very cold.  We didn't stick around long!

The water at the bottom of the falls was frozen solid.  It's hard to tell in the picture above, but the ice was at least six inches thick, and the giant pieces were as long as an adult!
